May 12 – Philippians 2:15

Posted by Jan Ross

"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world" (Philippians 2:15)

If there ever was a crooked and perverse nation, we are living in one . . . no matter where you live! The times in which we are living attest to this day after day as mankind imposes its evil deeds on anyone and everyone without regret . . . without conscience!

If there was ever a time when our light should shine, it is now. Light shines the brightest in the midst of the greatest darkness. As darkness surrounds us, we must take care to nurture our relationship with the Lord as the children of God, being found blameless and harmless only because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord! But it is by His blood that we can shine as beacons in the darkest night!

How is your light . . . is it burning bright with fervent heat or is it a tender flicker that will go out with the slightest touch? Today is the day to make a commitment to yourself and to the Lord to allow your light to shine brightly so as to let the whole world know that Jesus is Lord and He's coming very, very soon to receive His Bride unto Himself!

Are you ready?

Father, being one of Your children is indeed a privilege that carries with it an awesome responsibility to let our light shine even in the midst of the darkest night. Lord, shine through me and let the world know that You are coming soon . . . very, very soon! Amen!

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
